Ricky Piper

Managing Editor

Ricky manages all of the day to day at LIFEMAG. He is from Hampshire UK, and has a background in politics and international relations, where he has written material for numerous political consultancies, institutions and publications. Due to his political background, his key interests are the political impediments to life extension research and development. Outside of the workplace, Ricky is a keen musician, songwriter and blogger, and also has a slight obsession with the sport of football, particularly his beloved Reading FC.

Loreta Kindereviciute

Media and Communications Manager

Loreta manages all of LIFEMAG’s media and communications. She is from Vilnius, Lithuania but has lived in Berlin for the last five years. She has a keen interest in the relationship between food and longevity which comes as no surprise as her favourite hobby is cooking. When away from the kitchen, she counts “all the dogs in the world”, literature and popular culture among her most favourite things.

Peter Moulding

Peter is originally from the UK, but has spent the last year living between Berlin, Budapest and London. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Birkbeck, University of London, and alongside his studies worked for a number of magazines and newspapers, with his interests planted in politics, science and travel. In his free time he loves to cycle, hike, read and study German.

Harriet Easton

Harriet is originally from Surrey, UK and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Oxford. She is currently completing a Masters in Global Studies, which has involved living in Vienna for the past year. Naturally, her academic interests lie in the fields of history, international relations and social sciences. In addition she loves to learn languages and, in particular, is on a mission to be fluent in German by the end of her Master’s degree. Outside of office hours, you are most likely to find her at a theatre (either in the audience or on the stage), strolling around a museum, or relaxing in a coffee shop with a good book.

Alexandra Taylor

A native New Englander and aspiring science writer, Alexandra lives in Washington, DC. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in science & medical writing from Johns Hopkins University. Some of her primary interests include medicine, bioethics, and the relationship between science and culture. She hopes to approach cutting-edge science with accuracy, humor, and a healthy dose of skepticism. As an amateur naturalist, Alexandra likes to flee the city in favor of mountains and rivers, and is happiest wading through tide pools on Cape Cod.

Rachel Hughes

Media and Communications

Rachel is from London. She holds a first class degree in English Literature from Portsmouth University, and has a background in advertising and media. Her keen interest in longevity stems from a long-standing interest in nature, and the ethical and environmental influence humans have on the earth.  In her spare time, Rachel is usually found taking photos of anything she can find.

Aoife Gahlawat

Aoife is a cancer biologist, originally from Galway, Ireland. She has a keen interest in nutrition, and its connection to disease and believes prevention is the best cure. She lives in Heidelberg, Germany and likes to keep fit by running and cycling. She is happiest traveling to new places, or at home in the kitchen, cooking Indian inspired dishes.

Kristian Birch-Hurst

Kristian is originally from Cardiff, Wales, and has a range of experience in both news and magazine publication. As an ex-aerospace engineer and physicist, he cites a desire to explore the limits of humankind, and hopes to deliver the facts, entertain and reciprocate a healthy dose of scientific passion. Part musician, part writer and part science geek, he spends most of his spare time reviewing live gigs and generating fact-based content in physics tech for numerous platforms, while occasionally marrying the two.
