Could this liver drug slow down Parkinson's disease?

Scientists at the University of Sheffield have discovered that a drug normally used to treat liver disease has the potential to slow down the progress of Parkinson’s disease. Since tests on fruit flies yielded beneficial results, there are now plans to conduct a clinical trial of the drug ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) on real live Parkinson’s patients.
