New statistics reveal that longevity progress in America is slowing down

Staticians at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington have calculated new figures for life expectancy at birth for Americans. These figures reveal that the rate of increase in life expectancy is beginning to stagnate, in spite of the huge amounts of money being spent on medical care in order to keep people alive for as long as possible.
