Scientists have breached the blood-brain barrier for the first time to treat a brain tumour

In a world first, scientists at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Canada have developed a method to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier, which up until now has been a persistent obstacle to delivering valuable therapies, so to deliver chemotherapy medication directly into the malignant brain tumor of a patient.
